B.I.E. International Limited is a UKAS-accredited Type A examination body under ISO/IEC 17020 and has been appointed as an approved body by the VCA Dangerous Goods Office to perform conformity assessment under chapter 6.2. of ADR and periodic inspection of cylinders.

Statutory regulations have been established in most countries to provide a framework for safety that governs the design, fabrication, and inspection of transportable pressure equipment. In the United Kingdom, The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2020 require tanks and receptacles that are to be used to transport dangerous goods to be designed, inspected, tested, and certified before use. They must undergo a conformity assessment provided by a UK-approved body appointed by the competent authority in the UK.
