The Group's history began in 1934 with the formation in London of British Inspecting Engineers Limited.
In 1972 the BIE Group opened its first office outside of the United Kingdom located in the Netherlands followed by offices in Italy, the United States, Australia, South Africa, and Singapore.
Since then, overseas companies and associates have been formed and the organisation is now collectively referred to as the BIE Group which has become a market leader specialising in source inspection, expediting, quality assurance services to the hydrocarbons, power, minerals and metals, infrastructure, and engineering sectors.

Over the years and through organic growth, BIE has become a group of companies with offices in all major manufacturing regions across the globe. BIE has consistently pursued a policy of total independence from contracting or industrial organisations, which has enabled us to undertake work in an unbiased and objective manner.
